“If you want to free a society, just give them internet access.
Because people, the young guys, you know,
are all going to go out and see biased media, see
the truth about other nations and their own nation
and they’re going to be able to
contribute and collaborate together.”

“Statistics from the 2001 census show that Pakistani communities in England, particularly in the North and the Midlands, are severely affected by poverty, unemployment and social exclusion, and that they are much less likely to be employed in managerial and professional occupations.

Conversely, there were around 100 British Pakistani millionaires in 2001, representing a variety of industries. Statistics compiled by the Department for Education and Skills show that almost 40 per cent of Pakistani students in secondary schools are eligible for free school meals, compared to a national average of 15 per cent.

A study by Joseph Rowntree Foundation in 2007 found that Pakistani Britons have the second highest relative poverty rates in Britain, ahead only of Bangladeshis.”
