▸ Gallup: Romney Narrows Vote Gap After Historic Debate Win

Across all of the various debate-reaction polls Gallup has conducted, Romney’s 52-point win is the largest Gallup has measured. The prior largest margin was 42 points for Bill Clinton over George H.W. Bush in the 1992 town hall debate.

Among ‘All debate watchers’ - people thought Romney won the debate was 72% - and for Obama only 20%. Then, among Independents, people thought Romney won was 70%, and for Obama only 19%.

One expert somewhere said - people who never really paid attention to who Romney is - and what Romney has been saying in details - just saw Romney for the first time in this debate - and found him really likable than Obama.

Closer to center - indicating willingness to work in bi-partisan ways. Romney also scored high on these points.

I don’t find mentioning on this - but clearly GOP side had this planned. During campaign trail - lean to far-right - and then once real national stage starts - strike out from near-center.

Wondering anyone predicted this beforehand.
