“If you want to free a society, just give them internet access. Because people, the young guys, you know, are all going to go out and see biased media, see the truth about other nations and their own nation and they’re going to be able to contribute and collaborate together.”

proustianblues replied to your post “Maybe Titans are humans who died during botched/failed cosmetic…”

titans r humans failed experimental version of Titan shifters.

That’s real smart - … (and lines of thought comparing that with Evangelion goes in my head)

Tho if such revelations come faster (mysteries getting solved in Manga series fast) then - the theater? (where events go on) could shift more to

So who designed/engineered Titan technology and how it’s related to current power/political structure (that weird Church people and aristocrats knowing much? secrets …)

and characters could be freed from all these “(unstrategic) basically infantries getting outnumbered and butchered in the field” situation -

And spend next 2-3 years in more of political drama and - not just killing characters for the drama and feels …

And this reminds me of - SNK/AOT is partially getting inspiration from Miyazaki’s mentor Ryotaro Shiba’s long history novel - Saka No Ue No Kumo (坂の上の雲)

the story of how Japan prepared and fought against Russians during 1904-1905.

 proustianblues said: ingenuity?

Woah. True.

But 発想 (Hassou = generating ideas) we use in Japan more - … like casual in very regular weight?

Ingenuity - … if that pops out in regular English conversation, I think that’s a very weightful word I feel :\ Barely heard anyone using it other than speeches or addresses.

But meaning wise yeah, that’s the word. It’s just within modern Japanese living and thinking, the word/trait 発想 is really very frequently mentioned (as necessary, desirable quality/trait.)

imageproustianblues replied to your post: But still what happens in NYC is

the same in london, especially the central. i think some of this might be more due to the fact that theres huge fines for it as opposed to just general decency. people can be pretty filthy.

UK’s etiquette and culture issue is bit too large for me to have a sense of anything.

Elite/richer - posh, also cocooning like here in NYC, and then - busy middle class people just managing their busy schedule - and then average/lower strata kind of people, can be friendly, but few/some can be really rough (and crazy).

Like three layers (or more) - and tops are seldom seen. (Unless you venture into their turf.) But yeah, there is this new-ish littering regulation in London, and the fines are giant ..

  • 80 pounds sterling=120 USD (for dropping nut shells)
  • Maximum charge for dropping a cigarette butt can incur you 2000 pounds fine = 3000 USD???

England. They have this really weird way of distorting ‘privatization’ kind of projects.

British people also have sense of staying cute and balanced, and pragmatic too. But also have this uncontrollable ‘doing it over the top’ thing too (Like 'how?’)
