and as you near the bottom (like 20%) - the aroma and flavor of tea leaves just get so strong and bold. Makes you ecstatic. 

One pound of loose leaf tea - for 4 USD. You can make 100-150 cups out of a pound of loose leaf (4 to 3 cents per cup.) And about last 30 cups from that bag is so incredible. (Can’t quite figure out why this happens tho. Making many guesses.)

I don’t know what prompted me to do this, but I am. I’ve discovered that this process of preparing Moroccan mint tea has never failed and you should all know about it.

1. Get your water boiling.
2. Take about 1tbs and a half of black tea (Chinese black tea works well, I’m using Sultan) and put it in the tea pot like so:
3. While water is boiling, take your mint leaves and let them soak in water
4. When the water is boiled, pour just enough to cover the black tea you already have in the tea pot. Let it sit for about 40 seconds until the leaves bloom a bit, and pour that water into a cup. DON’T THROW IT OUT. It should be a dark shade.
5. Then pour a bit more of the boiling water into the teapot, swish it around, then pour it out the spout.
6. Take that black tea you put aside and pour HALF of it into the tea pot. Throw the other half away.
7. Add the mint you had sitting in the water into the teapot.
8. Add the rest of the boiling water into the teapot.
9. MOST IMPORTANT STEP. PUT THE TEAPOT YOU HAVE FILLED WITH TEA AND WATER BACK ON THE STOVE.
10. Let it sit until the water starts bubbling. 
11. Remove and prepare to serve (always add an extra cup in case you get a guest)
12. Add sugar if you want. 
13. Fill a cup with the tea, but pour it back into the teapot.
14. NOW, serve the tea.
